Economic activities and the human resources development are among the matters touched upon in the Motion for Royal Speech of the Representatives Appointed from Districts, namely Yang Berhormat Awang Amran bin Haji Maidin, and Yang Berhormat Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan.

The country's economic stability cannot solely depend on external factors. Among them that can be further strengthened are economic activities based on domestic strength.

The local workforce needs to be empowered with relevant skills, expertise and knowledge so that they can play a more significant role in driving the country's economic growth.
